The Nu-Tec Universal Dynamically Positioned Stack Specific Test Joint is designed to test the BOP stack to two different sizes in one trip and still be able to shear the test joint in the case of an emergency.  Testing down the drill pipe in the closed osition gives the ability to test your Top Drive, Choke Line and Valves, Kill Line and Valves, while performing the BOP Rams.  Then stroke the test joint open to test the BOP stack to the smaller OD down the Choke or Kill Line.  All Nu-Tec UDPSSTJ are tested to one and half times the working pressure and is capable of having a working pressure of 15,000 PSI. When a UDPSSTJ comes in from offshore Nu-Tec disassembles and washes all parts, has all threads and components inspected by a outside inspection company, replaces all seals, and hydrostatic tests the UDPSSTJ.
