The Nu-Tec Stack Specific Test Joint is designed to test the BOP stack to two different sizes in one trip. Performing the test down the drill pipe in the closed and open position gives the ability to test your Top Drive, Choke Line and Valves, Kill Line and Valves, while testing the BOP Rams. With the SSTJ technical design, communication with the well is not lost during the BOP test. All Nu-Tec SSTJ are tested to one and half times the working pressure and is capable of having a working pressure of 15,000 PSI. When a SSTJ comes in from offshore Nu-Tec disassembles and washes all parts, has all threads and components inspected by a outside inspection company, replaces all seals, and hydrostatic tests the SSTJ.
