The Nu-Tec Stack Specific Circulator Test Joint is designed to test the BOP stack to two different sizes in one trip. The SSCTJ gives the ability to test your Top Drive, Choke Line and Valves, Kill Line and Valves, while testing the BOP Rams and still have communication with your well bore. The SSCTJ is used when a BOP Stack has a Fixed Ram and it must be tested to a different size than the other Rams and Annulars (See Option 1).  The SSCTJ can also be used to test the BOP stack to alternating sizes if approval is given to only test each ram and annular to one size each (See Option 2).  All Nu-Tec SSCTJ are tested to one and half times the working pressure and is capable of having a working pressure of 15,000 PSI. When a SSCTJ comes in from offshore Nu-Tec disassembles and washes all parts, has all threads and components inspected by a outside inspection company, replaces all seals, and hydrostatic tests the SSCTJ.
